Who we are
Caddie is a smart micromobility platform that equips fleets with IoT hardware, white-label apps, and an operations dashboard (CCI). “We”, “our”, or “us” refers to Caddie.
Scope
This policy applies to: (i) our website at caddie.rentals; (ii) our iOS and Android apps; and (iii) services provided to operators via CCI and our IoT devices (“Services”).
Data we collect
We collect and process the following categories depending on how you interact with us:
- Contact & business details: name, company, email, phone, country, city, deployment zone, fleet size (e.g., from demo forms).
- Account & usage data: when you create an operator account, use our apps, or access CCI.
- Telemetry & IoT data: vehicle identifiers, lock status, timestamps, battery/energy metrics, GNSS location and quality (e.g., HDOP, satellites), geofences, incidents. For end users, location is processed for features like find/ride/unlock where permitted.
- Device & log data: IP address, app version, device model, crash logs, diagnostics.
- Cookies & similar tech: essential cookies for security (incl. reCAPTCHA) and site functionality.
Where we rely on your consent (e.g., precise location in consumer apps), you can grant or withdraw in OS settings or within the app.
How we use your data
- Provide and operate the Services (unlock/lock flows, CCI dashboards, geofences, telemetry).
- Process demo and integration requests and communicate with you.
- Maintain safety, integrity, fraud-prevention, and service reliability.
- Improve UX, performance, and develop new features.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce terms.
Legal bases (GDPR)
- Contract: to provide the Services you request or your organization contracts for.
- Legitimate interests: secure, reliable operation; product improvement; basic analytics using aggregated or de-identified data.
- Consent: where required (e.g., precise location, certain notifications). You may withdraw at any time.
- Legal obligation: compliance, record-keeping, safety notices.
International transfers
Where data is transferred outside your country/region (e.g., the EU/EEA), we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and technical measures.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Anonymized or aggregated data may be retained for product improvement and service reliability.
Security
We implement organizational and technical measures to protect data, including access controls, encryption in transit, environment isolation, and regular review of our security posture. No method is 100% secure, but we aim for balanced, industry-standard protections.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal data;

- Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent);
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Children’s privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us to request deletion.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our Services or legal requirements. We will post updates here and adjust the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may also be communicated via the app or email.
